Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.
— Eckhart Tolle

PSA: Please stop using money as an excuse for why you can’t do or buy something. It is not your lack of money that is stopping you, it is simply where you chose to spend it.

Let’s get real, it’s much easier to blame your inability to do something on lack of money than admit that you actually didn’t want to do it, or that it’s not a priority for you right now. Everyone wants to hate ‘the man’, and we will generally be sympathetic to those who are struggling with money. But it honestly feels like it’s become a crutch for us! It’s become our stock standard excuse and we all accept it without batting an eye.

This is obviously not the case for everyone (I know there are genuinely people living in poverty struggling to make ends meet, I get it), but I see the ‘average’ person still using this excuse when they earn good money and have many luxuries in life.

If you say you can’t afford a night out, meet up for a coffee, buy better quality groceries… whatever it may be, it’s not that you don’t have the money to spend on it. You know you do, but you choose to save it or spend it elsewhere. And that is totally okay! In fact good for you! But don’t lie to others AND yourself by saying you don’t have enough money. You either simply don’t have any interest in spending your money in that way OR it’s just not a priority for you right now. Again - that’s okay! Your priorities are your business.

The reason this is of such a concern to me, is that by allowing ourselves to constantly use that excuse and buy into that belief, we make that our reality. We make ‘not having enough money’ our reality, often regardless of whether your earnings increase or decrease. That also transcends into other areas of our life where we feel we don’t ‘earn enough’, ’have enough’, or are simply ’not enough’.

You’re cock-blocking your own abundance financially and emotionally… (sorry fam if you’re reading this).

No matter what, every dollar you earn will be spent in some way or another. You just choose how it gets spent, generally in order of your priorities in life. Make sure you’re spending it on things that bring more abundance into your life whether that is financially, physically, emotionally or spiritually. It’s time we give up the age old excuse of ‘I don’t have enough money’ and start believing ‘I have more than enough money for everything I need’. It’s funny how you can always ‘find’ the money when it’s something you REALLY want ;)

Wild Orange, Clary Sage and Roman Chamomile are my essential oils of choice for this. These three together give you the courage to ‘see’ your limiting belief systems, to let go of your scarcity mindset around abundance, and to dispel the fear and belief that if we do what we love, we will end up destitute.
